Chinchorreo & Cultural Food Tour

What is a chinchorreo?

In Puerto Rico, 'chinchorros' are small places all over the island where people enjoy music, great food and a lot of fun with locals and fellow tourists. A ‘chinchorreo’ is when a group of people get on a bus and stop at a handful of chinchorros to explore… so in other words, it’s a Puerto Rican bar crawl with a party bus.

Our spin on this tradition:

While we’ll still keep the tradition of great food and drinks alive, we also want to show you a part of the island you may not know to experience on your own.

We will take a spin through Piñones, located in Loíza, Puerto Rico - a vibrant beachside neighborhood known for its delicious street food, beautiful coastline, and rich cultural heritage. It's a great spot for travelers looking for an authentic Puerto Rican experience, offering a mix of natural beauty and local charm. It’s also the birthplace of Bomba, a traditional Afro-Puerto Rican dance and music style rooted in resistance, celebration, and cultural identity.

Cost:
The bus is on us! You are welcome to purchase food & drinks at your own discretion.

Transportation:
Meet us at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel lobby at 10:45AM. The bus will leave promptly at 11:00AM.

If you can’t make the bus:
If you’re traveling in on this day and would like to meet up with us, or you’re only joining us for part of the adventure, please let us know in advance so we can ‘share’ our location with you via FindMyPhone. You can Uber to us as Piñones is only about a 20 minute drive from Condado.

Attire:
Beach-casual, but make it cute, of course. We’ll be on the coast and there will be an opportunity to jump in the ocean, so if that’s your thing, bring a swimsuit!
